Who We Are
The Victory Home in Escondido, California, is run by Victory Outreach Escondido, a local church associated with Victory Outreach International, one of the largest inner-city ministries in the world. VO Escondido was founded in 1986 to meet the needs of people in this region of San Diego County. Victory Homes aims to redefine men’s futures by giving them a sense of purpose while rebuilding community and family in our community.
How We Operate
The Victory Outreach structure requires each individual church to be both self-governing and self-supporting, so the local home continues to operate only through generous donations and hired labor, with all earned funds being donated back into the home and its operations. Residents live in Victory Home at no cost to them for the 18-month program. To date, the Escondido home has played a role in rebuilding the lives of 2,000 men (and counting).
How to Join
Victory Home is open to men in San Diego County who are looking to rebuild their lives and relationships. Typically, residents are referred to the program from probation officers, other local programs or county-sponsored organizations. Find out more about applying here. The VH leaders work closely with local law enforcement and county agencies to support and educate officers as a way to give back to the community.
